Teacher Theory

Oh hey world, quick question!!!
Who the fuck are our teachers & professors, should their qualifications or roles be switched, merged, changed?

What foundations is the American school system based on? Who created it? Why? When?

So little is done to explore the creative bounds of the mind from the start.
By the time we reach college, with all the wide eyed wonder to the real world, finally studying subjects we are interested in and able to absorb this information in a totally new environment, we're already so doomed.
We were brought up in a grading system that wants you to remember small bursts of information for a week or two between quizzes.
This practice is highly selective in who actually learns this information, because a student can graduate high school by bombing a few tests but doing really good in other assignments and maybe some extra credit.
Still, that information wasn't learned!!!!!!!!

Learning isn't about a fucking grade

It's about  e x p l o r i n g  the world for yourself with the guidance and protection of others.
It's literally what we have been doing FOREVER as humans.
We know it's how we learn best, but recently were implementing a more strict, very unnatural approach to education.
PLEASE still teach us how to read, write and do basic math.
But school has a bad stigma in this society, and it's because going to school alone without your parents the first time is PRETTY SCARY!
Something has to be changed.
Parents should be heavily involved in the learning process.
There needs to be a balance.
More REAL LIFE lessons need to be taught through something enjoyable.

Who is teaching our kids vs. who is teaching our young adults.

As kids, we should be taught by the best of the best masters degree'd, life experienced people.
Not just told what the girl learned in class and is now just regurgitating onto us.

Who knows tho, I'm just a smot poking 20 year old, bitter about my tuition.
